aero-nut > The entrance to the Schmitt Tunnel. Schmitt took approx 30 years of his life to dig this tunnel, which started out as a mine. Eventually, the mine poked out the other side of the mountain, creating the tunnel. You can now hike all the way through it (about a half mile distance).
